What is the minimum rental period for a vehicle?

The minimum rental period for a vehicle is one day if booked between Monday and Friday. We also offer a weekend package at preferential rates for any rental from Friday to Monday. 

What services are included in the rental price of a car?

The Hertz Mayotte rental rate includes: unlimited mileage, vehicle maintenance and preparation, theft insurance (TP), damage insurance (CDW) and insurance as defined in article 6 of the general rental conditions available at the agency. 

What documents do I need to book my rental vehicle?

To book your vehicle at Hertz Mayotte, you will be asked for the following documents: your original driver's license and a credit card for the deposit. 

What driver's license do I need to rent a van?

The commercial vehicles in the Hertz Mayotte fleet can all be driven by holders of a B license. 

At what age can I rent a car?

The minimum age to rent a car on www.hertz.yt is 22 years and a minimum of three years since obtaining a driver's license. 

How do I pay for my rental car online?

There are two payment options for your online car rental:

  • or you can pay for your entire rental online
  • or you can book your rental by paying a 30% deposit online and the rest at the counter upon arrival

How do I pick up my vehicle?

To collect your vehicle, go to our agency in Mamoudzou where our fleet is located. The formalities regarding the delivery of your vehicle will be carried out at our counter with the Hertz Mayotte team. 

Can I pick up my vehicle at the airport?

If you want to rent a vehicle at Mayotte airport, contact our team. We do not have a rental counter at Dzaoudzi airport but we can offer you a solution. 

What should I do if my rental car breaks down?

During your vehicle pick up, our teams provide you with useful information in case of an incident to your vehicle. For drivers of vehicles of the Ford brand, contact Ford Assistance at 0800 005 005 for all other vehicles, contact our partner Car Casse Auto on 0639 69 60 47

How do I extend my car rental?

Any extension must be signed and paid for. If you decide to extend your rental, you will have to contact our team at 02 69 61 90 10

What is the cost of a car seat for my child or baby?

To ensure that your children are safe in our vehicles, we offer you the rental of: 

  • baby car seats
  • child car seats
  • boosters

Do I receive fines related to my violations when renting the vehicle?

If you commit a traffic violation, you are responsible for it. Thus, in accordance with the general rental conditions, the information concerning the driver at the time of the infraction is communicated to the administration in order for the latter to take responsibility and pay the fine.

How do I cancel a rental?

For any request to cancel your rental, contact us. Cancellation of rentals is managed directly by the agency's desk team.
