Mayotte languages

The official language of Mayotte is French. However, there are two territorialized regional languages: Shimaore and Kibushi. 

Shimaore is a Bantu language related to Swahili, spoken by more than 150,000 people.

Kibushi is a language related to Malagasy (spoken in Madagascar), spoken by nearly 40,000 people. 

These languages contribute to the rich culture of Mayotte.
